These KEEPERS are the story of unseen promise. Over many years, I have acquired the residual delights of other people’s hobbies. My friends and family saw something invisible in me, and knew that I could make use of these materials … some day. And that day has come, and with intention.
The idea of re-using comes as a counter energy to a culture of disposability. Our resources are more precious than many of us seem to acknowledge. Many resources have gone into the growing of the cotton plants, the weaving of these plants into a textile, the printing of that textile.
Most of these materials chose me, I suppose. And when you find the one-of-a-kind KEEPER for you, I think it’s possible that it’s actually the object that is choosing you.
